PERSHING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PICNIC

You are invited to participate in our all-school picnic!
We will be eating together on the north side of Pershing
Please come enjoy a sack lunch with your child(ren).看 If you would like for your child or family members to eat a school lunch that day, you must reserve sack lunches by May 9th by returning form below.看 Family members must pre-order in order to eat a school lunch.看 Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food with them when they arrive that day.看 Please meet your child outdoors in designated spots.看 (Watch for more information on this soon)

Note:看 If the weather does not permit us to be outdoors, there will be no rain date.看 Field day (scheduled for the same day) and the school picnic will be cancelled.看 In that case we will follow the regular specialist schedule and lunch schedule.看 You are still invited to join your child for lunch at their regularly scheduled time.

Constuction Updates: Current planning indicates that the following grade levels will be housed in the portables during construction:
Phase 1 is now completed: Grades 4 and 5, Visual Arts
Phase 2: Approximately Feb 08- May 08 Grades 1 and kindergarten
Phase 3: Approximately June 2008- Oct 2008 Grades 2 and 3
Students will move directly back into their newly remodeled classrooms as soon as the construction for that phase is complete.

May 7th, 2008, 3rd Grade Walking Field
Trip Downtown
May 6 - 7th - Reading CRT's for 3rd, 4th, and 5th
May 8th, 2008, Pershing Concert for Students and Parents that can not make the evening concert for Chorus, Band, and Orchestra, 1:30 - 2:30 at Pershing in Gym. Evening Concert is at 6:00 pm.
May 9th, 2008, Mickle Concert at school
9:00 - 9:50 am
May 13th and 14th, Math CRT's for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
May 13th, PPTO meeting at 7:00 pm.
May 14th, 2008, 5th graders visit Mickle School
May 21st - May 23rd, 4th graders to Heritage School
May 21st, 2008, 5th graders orientation with Dawes Middle School
May 22nd - 2nd grade walking to the Legacy Terrace.
May 23rd - 2nd grade to library around 1:45
May 26th, 2008, No School, Memorial Day
May 27th, 2008, PLC Dismissal Day, dismissal at 1:33 pm, NO EXCITE
